![]() ![]() This is good because he wasn’t really able to pull of the complicated story with a grand reveal at the end. It has a much better progression through the story. The plot wasn’t overly complicated for the sake of being complicated. This wasn’t frustrating or aggravating to read at all. But, almost all of my complaints from the last book seem to have been worked out this book. It feels like a completely different book. This book doesn’t fit in with the rest of the series pretty much at all, though. ![]() This is actually a much better written story than Ruler of the Realm. Then on top of that, Moon has baggage from a prior encounter with enemy shapeshifters, which comes back to haunt him with a vengeance. So suffice it to say Moon's homecoming is. He learns that a) he's a member of an especially coveted subgroup within his people, and b) he is simultaneously a member of an especially reviled subgroup. Moon finds his people early in the book, and it's not a happy experience for him. But where other stories end (last of his kind finds a place) is pretty much where this story started, nearly ended, then started again. I am looking forward to continuing the saga in Stargazey Point. This story has likable characters, a delightful setting, and an interesting plot. Is there any way that he can help revive the place he loves? Pieces of land are being sold off in order for families to survive and Cab's heart hurts to see the demise of a place he holds dear. It isn't the town of his youth, however, but a town on a rapid decline. When Cab returns and meets the people of his youth, the memories come flooding back. ![]() He tells Bailey that he is going to go to return to Stargazey Point to attend the funeral even though he is supposed to be at a fundraiser the day of the funeral.
